Built by Khaleej of Lavant. West Sussex in 1988 as a prototype modern take on a Mini Moke and designed as a full open 4 seater car with waterproof electrics to be sold in Arab markets. I think 4 were built all with Ford mechanics this one being Fiesta based with a 1300 cc engine. Showing less than 320. ( three hundred and twenty miles )on the clock and in excellent hardly used condition. Two tone cream bodywork with white (piped red) interior. Just fitted a set of period Ford RS alloy wheels and new tyres.
I was told the company ceased trading before the cars were launched and 3. maybe 4 survive. Brilliant fun on a sunny day and ideal for your villa in France or Spain! Will put her through a new MOT for the successful bidder. Please don't bid unless you intend to buy!!! Situated 1 mile off the A 1 in North Yorkshire. Stored in a large dry lockup if you want to view. £250 deposit by Pay Pal within 12 hours of the auctions end please. balance and collection within 7 days thereafter. The car has been for its MOT today and initially failed due to a faulty fog light switch. now replaced and she now has a new 12 month MOT certificate. I understand she was built by Khaleej of Lavant in 2008 using some components from a donor Ford Fiesta first registered in 1988 hence the date of first reg on the V 5. On the 5 th August 2008 the donor failed its MOT showing 85630 miles. The next time she was presented for a MOT was 15 th May 2015 showing 237 miles recorded. today the MOT shows mileage of 315 . I understand as a prototype vehicle a base car. the Ford Fiesta. was used for some components . The mileage quoted if for the car as a Scarab. I hope the clarifies any queries in this respect. My garage advise in a short run' up the dales' today she performed faultlessly. If any bidders wish revise or withdraw from the auction in the light of this additional information drop me a message and I'll happily remove your bid. no problem.
