This is my 1981 Triumph Spitfire I Bought this on Ebay only 1 month ago. I have since had my Mechanic do some extra work on herand I can confirm she runs extremely well and everything works how she should. The only reason I am selling as I have purchased another Spitfire that is tax Exempt.
MOT until 14 June 2017 no advisories.

It comes with loads of history including photographic record of the restoration in 2005 the recorded mileage on the MoT for Feb of that year was 1860 miles

The car has a couple of improvements of Electric Kenlowe Fan and Electric ignition.
The improvements in this car over the last year include:
New water pump - fixed the water leaksNew windscreen wiper stalkNew batteryNew rear brake shoesNew rear leaf springBrakes have been balanced and hand brake adjustedNew Track rod ends and upper ball joints replacedNew Anti roll bar links and bushes replacedNew Rear drive shaft Trunion bushes fitted on N/SNew Kenlowe Electric fan module and all works how it shouldRecent retune with new points and plugs
If you have not owned a classic before be warned it is old technology. in the case of this spitfire it was old technology when the car was new!!You do not have power steering or even servo assisted brakes but after driving it for 10 minutes you will not care. you learn to push the brake pedal harder and only steer when you are moving. You remember when it wont start it needs manual choke. it then starts first time!! It should run on 4 star fuel. so you need lead replacement additive (readily available) and i'm getting about 33mpg. All these little things are the character of the car and why you will love driving when you get behind the wheel of a Spitfire. I find reasons to go out for a drive.
There are loads of spare bits too including:Old hoodbits of interior trimthe original radio (it might work - I don't know)Bad bits:the paint job is not Concourse and there is some over spray on the tyres. However there is plenty on there so could be wet flatted back. There is some rust damage to n/s front wheel arch. This could be repaired easily and there is some extra paint with the car. The chassis is in good condition. The Windscreen rubber could be replaced to tidy up the screen areaIf you have any questions message me ot call 07977023266. inspection is welcome. Cash on collection is preferred
