The Good

The engine runs good. starts right up. no smoke. good oil pressure (about 40 psi at hot idle). did not overheat when driven. super charger is present and is in working condition.

An alternator has replaced

the generator.

The transmission works good - 1 st gear start and shifts fine.

The instruments all work with the exception of the clock which is not hooked up and might work.

Even the radio works.

All the glass is in good condition.

The interior is very nice with a few minor flaws.

Carpet is in nice condition and is also found in the trunk.

The headliner is original and has two small cuts which are repaired and some discoloration above the windshield which is covered by the sun visors but overall looks nice.

The weatherstrip around the doors and trunk is fairly new and still soft.

The flippers above the door windows both work but the passenger door window will need some adjustment so the flipper works right.

The chrome is very nice - obviously rechromed. The only pieces which show some age are the turn signal lights and the passenger side bumper guard and they are still pretty good driver quality.

The stainless is exceptional – I can find only one small flaw on the passenger side which is hardly noticeable.

The halo is the only stainless which will need some minor attention.

The power steering works well and the car has very new tires and expensive ($350 + ea. ) American Racing polished aluminum Salt Flat wheels with optional two bar flippers installed.

Turner disc Brakes have been installed on the front.

The exhaust system is new and sounds awesome.

I believe the car still has the Twin Traction rear end.

Rusted areas have been repaired. (see details below).

The not so good:

The car has had rust although most has been repaired.

The repairs that have been done are with metal panels welded in.

I have found one area that still has not been repaired.

It is the interior body panel behind the passenger door.

I believe the bottom part of that is rusted.

That is an easy area to access when the fender is removed by unbolting it.

Other areas that have been repaired satisfactorily I believe include front fenders (I think) hog troughs. corners of trunk. some flooring and rear fenders behind the doors.

The paint job is a 10 footer as it is older and the preparation was not the best.

The trunk was given a chrome lift from some other Studebaker model which if removed leaves 4 holes in the trunk lid.

I have no idea what the actual mileage is.

I have described the car as honestly as I can.

As it an old car there may be other details which I am not aware of.
