Up for sale is a 1990 'NISMO' edition Nissan Skyline GT-R that was introduced on February 22 1990.

It had a total production run of 560 units as required for the "Evolution" models regulation (over 500). Only 500 of the cars were sold to the public. with 60 being held by Nissan (NISMO) to turn into race cars.

Its purpose is to homologate a number of aerodynamic changes used in Group A racing. Changes include additional ducts in the front bumper to improve airflow to the intercooler. a bonnet lip spoiler to direct more air into the engine bay. and an additional boot lip spoiler to provide more down-force.

The 'Nismo' GT-R was only available in Gunmetal Grey.

The NISMO edition of the BNR 32 chassis number started from BNR 32-100000 and stopped at BNR 32-100560.

BNR 32-100001 to BNR 32-100500 (500 vehicles) were sold to the public.

BNR 32-100501 to BNR 32-100560 (60) vehicles were held by NISMO for their Group A racing.

So when I say NISMO #401. I am simply truncating the BNR 32-100 XXX part of the VIN and just calling it #401 / 560.

NISMO edition BNR 32's came with the following:

[2] No Air Condition (unless it is a dealer optional request. which in this case it was)

[3] No Rear wiper - no hole in the window and different dash switch for the rear wiper

[4] NISMO Badge on the boot

[5] Bigger NISMO RS 580 steel turbines w/ metal fins

[6] NISMO bumper vents

[7] NISMO bonnet lip

[8] NISMO boot lid spoiler

[9] NISMO side skirts (with spats)

[10] No mesh in front bumper

[11] No radio - this vehicle has a retro fit.

[12] All NISMO's were 1990 model year

[13] All NISMO's came only in KH 2 Gunmetal Grey.

The car has no rust. no damage. no engine oil leakage. transfer-case or rear diff leaks.
