Spectacular. one of a kind reproduction of the iconic Mercedes Benz 500 K Special Roadster. Much care and effort has been put into this car. Hand made burled walnut dash with the instrument cluster surrounded by green abalone mother of pearl. Hand made burled walnut arm rests on the doors. Moto Lita mahogany riveted steering wheel. Custom shifter for the old-time gear shifter look with automatic transmission. Wilton wool carpet with leather binding. Dayton style 100 spoke wire wheels with three eared knockoffs. Coker classic white wall tires mounted on the rims. New windscreens put on. The car was originally built by Heritage Motors of California in 1991. Shortly after making approximately 300 of the cars. they went bankrupt.
This car draws attention wherever it goes. Pictures do not do it justice. The car has been on Speed channel in the US and on the Motorworks channel in Europe. I live in the desert so the car is set up as a true roadster. which means no top. but I have the frame and the old top. which will be needed as a pattern for a new one. that will go with the sale of the car. The special attention that this car gets. and you by extension. is just remarkable. I have never had a car that attracts people like this one does. I have retired and want to do some traveling and do not want this car to just sit in storage. Looking for the right home for it!The car has a clear title and is listed as a specially constructed car. no smog required. Never needs smog certificate. even in California.
