VOLKSWAGEN BEACH BUGGY IN BMW MONTREAL BLUE

This beach buggy has been owned by us since September 2011 so we have had it for almost 5 years.  

The reason for selling it is we bought it as a fun car for using with our 2 children but as they have now grown up and it hardly gets used it is time for it to go to another home where it will be loved as much.   Our younger son went to his school leaving party with his friends in this beach buggy and they all loved it!  An unusual vehicle.

A real head turner whenever it is driven around…

Prior to us owning the buggy it was owned and used as an advertising car for a BMW / Mini Specialist which is why it has the AUTOTECNIK stickers on the sides of the car.   The stickers come off with hot water / heat.   When we bought the car there was a phone number on the sides which we removed but we kept the AUTOTECNIK stickers on.

It is in decent condition and has been looked after.

The beach buggy is built on a 1974 chassis and date of first registration is 06/03/1974.

Current Mileage: Coming up to 7. 00 miles on the clock.

1285cc Petrol Engine with manual gearbox.

Car is painted in BMW Montreal Blue.

Fitted with black bucket seats with blue harnesses and a rear bench seat.   There are 3 lap belts in the back of the car (please note these are not very long and the width of the back seat is limited so really for children or 2 small adults. )

Large alloy wheels and tyres plus the individual colour really set the car apart from others.

The car comes with a flag on a pole (this can be removed and put back on when wanted. )  Light on top of flag is meant to light up but we haven't checked this and may need looking at if you want it lit…

Engine has chrome parts and big exhausts.

Bull bar fitted on the car.

The buggy has no roof or cover but they are available to buy.

We had work done on the wheels when we first bought the car. new rear tyres fitted in 2015.   We have had other bits of work done on the car as and when necessary.

MOT expiry: 02/08/2017

Very cheap to insure as you can insure it using classic car insurance.

Car Tax - Exempt so costs nothing to tax.

Radio with handsfree kit. AUX socket and USB input for Ipod / MP3 Player.

When the car was recently put through the MOT the horn did not work so the garage fitted a new horn with a separate switch on the dashboard.  

There are neon lights fitted on the interior of the car which can be switched on and off with a switch.   This is just a fun extra our sons wanted…

This is a fun vehicle….

The bad bits… The buggy is in good condition but there are scratches. blemishes. cracks and wear on the paintwork and leather seats - see photos.   You are bidding on an unusual. older vehicle and not a brand new car!

The fuel gauge does not show a true reading but we always keep the tank topped up and use a rod to check the fuel level (rod will be in the car when sold. )

This would be an ideal car for someone who just wants some fun or an enthusiast…
