1968 amc amx 390 4 speed rally and go pack with less than 3000 original miles. pb. ilt . am 8-track. ex drag car raced by a dealership in Iowa amx # 644 ( on glove box ) very early build. car was completely disassembled . media blasted and painted on a rosissiere . car then went on a 6 year restoation where every part on car was replaced with new (if avaiable) or rebuilt . tranny . brakes . cooling . heat . suspension . as shocks . poly bushings . ront and rear ( front custom hd with 1 1/2 in lowered )springs . rear 354 posi . rill . ll chrome redone . s trim polished . ush mat . ss gas and brake lines . gas tank . all new wiring . nterior ( seats . oam. carpet . headliner ) all gauges rebuilt and repainted by red line . wiper motor . ens . ulbs . eatherstrip . nd much much more . every part kennedy american sells for this car is on it . nd every part is painted or powder coated .
Motor was rebuilt by amc legend Chuck Habreck with the best . 450 hp 500 ft / lbs with dyno sheets at a cost of over $ 11000 ( way too many parts to list here ) I have put over 400 miles on ( still under 3000 miles on her ) it has a few small chips but pictures speak for themselves . !
NOTE. i am reposting this with more info and more pictures . First off this is not the original motor motor or tranny . hey are out of a 68 amx . It had different door on it so the tag is not for this car. i added some pictures of the underside . i did'nt clean it . t is alittle dirty and the pipes have a little oil burns from a bad NEW seal that was replaced . As i said i have drove this car . but you can see the detail it was restored to !
