1963 Ruby Red Double Cab built by KCW        Ratty is now available to a new caring custodian who will look after him and keep him from harm. He has great provenance and patina. I have looked after Ratty for the last three years but don't have the opportunity to use him very much at the moment so thought I may free up some space and let someone else have some fun. Great fun or advertising opportunity.
Current MOT and free tax.
I have included a KCW photograph which shows Ratty at their workshop in the USA and a photograph from this years Volksworld show.   I have numerous photographs for those genuinely interested.  
Double cabs are awesome as you can get the family and/or your mates in and just load up the bed with all your gear. They are rare amongst splits and you don't see too many at VW shows.

Featured in September 2015 Volksworld magazine. All the details are in the article but a brief summary is below:

Built by KCW in the States and then imported to the Netherlands by Kieft & Klok without an engine. KCW completed all of the chassis mods to enable Ratty to run so low and replaced any rusty metal that they found at the same time.   Chassis has been notched. steering box raise. KCW beam. front disc brakes. Type 3 rear brakes.  
Front and rear safari windows. roof rack. replica bows and the most photographed rubber rat ever!
2007cc engine with Porsche cooling and twin webers and Rancho gearbox installed by T2D when brought into the UK.

Prefer an outright sale but will consider a part exchange if interesting or of use. Will consider a project or a finished vehicle.   Ideally modified or patina classic VW/Ford/American.   Must be sound.
Ratty would need to be collected from Pevensey. East Sussex.
Obviously Ratty is a modified vehicle over 50 years old and will require ongoing love and attention befitting a classic vehicle. No warranty is given or implied and Ratty is sold as seen.
Advertised elsewhere so may be removed at any time.
