1972 Lancia Fulvia Zagato 1. 3s

Chassis No: 818651003015

Engine No:77425

The Fulvia Saloon was introduced in 1963. replacing the box like Appla and featured a innovative narrow angle overhead cam V4 engine and double wishbone independent suspension. In addition to the curvaceous  and lightweight styling from Ercole Spada of Zagato design house in Milan. known for the immortal Aston Martin DB4 Zagato.

The 1298cc engine that is featured in this example had been introduced  in 1967 continuing all the way through into the series two cars. These later cars feature the Five speed gearbox that had been implemented as standard from 1971. The nimble Zagato bodied cars proved themselves in motorsport. scoring highly in events such as the Sebring 12 hours and the Daytona 24 hours.

This is a highly sought after right hand drive. as first registered in the UK on the 2nd August 1972 with four previous owners indicated.

The vehicle is mechanically sound. with a strong pulling motor. firm brakes. nd light steering. However the bodywork requires attention with  visible paint surface corrosion over the vehicle . yet it is still a presentable example.

The interior is very well kept with only a small area where piping has been damaged on the drivers seat bolster. aside from this all seats. door cards and headlining are in perfect condition.

The vehicle has had a vast amount of work from a marque specialist including a brake overhaul. and refurbishing the steering idler in  June. when a MOT  was   provided.

The bumpers have been removed and they are included in the sale.

The Vehicle is seen as a  running restoration where only cosmetic bodywork bodywork is needed. yet it is great example of the Italian coach built  sports model. with investment potential being a rare RHD car.
