Very very rare 1934 humber 12 vogue pillarless coupe. comes with buff log book first registered 4th may 1934. body type coupe. 2 tax discs 1948 and the last from 1965 where the car was placed in storage. same ownership for over 50 years.
The car is 99. 9% complete and there are only 3 items missing which include 1 trafficator. interior door handle. rear ash tray. Some chrome parts etc are loosely in place to show that all parts i have listed are there and not missing.
EngineWas removed from the road in 1965 due to a crack in the head. A brand new head was sourced along with head gaskets x2. in the time of the strip down new std hepolite pistons and rings were fitted and the crank and shells re done. engine turns over freely and all parts are there as shown in the last picture. ready to be put back together with new gaskets(some included and a roll of gasket paper). gearbox is a 4 speed with freewheel that turns in all gears. dynamo with voltage box. tarter. istributor. olex carb and ac air silencer. c fuel pump(moves freely) with glass fuel bowl. ump with filter plate and oil pump and pickup. exhaust inlet manifold with a down pipe for making an exhaust. ater pump and fan blade. as had a new water jacket plate as the old one had rusted(included). valve chest cover with thumb screws. heads old and brand new. ater jacket pipe included. ngine mount plates and rubbers. lywheel with clutch. ll chrome head bolts. earbox with thrust plate and linkages.
InteriorThe seats will need attention and a re trim but all there and original. the luxury trim extras such as 2x cigar lighters. ear blind. rt deco foor vents are all in place. ear view mirror and interior light are all there also. bluemells type steering wheel with lights. hrottle distributor controls. orn push in great condition for age. All wood is in place ready for re varnishing or keep the aged patina. the rear windows slide back with a twist handle and the front windows go completely down for an open pillarless space. nice art deco gauges by jeager.
BodyThe body work is all very solid with no real signs of rot to any panels. there is surface rust as shown and to be expected after such a long time off the road. a few braized welds have been done to the running boards and drivers rear wing(few splits). rear trunk opens well with all trims. andle. atches. bonnet has all chrome vent arrows. andle and ripault catches. sliding sunroof needs re covering but a roll of black covering is included. slider catches are all included for the roof. nice opening windscreen(good chrome and catches). rear 'd' lights are made by clayrite and have nice emblems to each unit. bumpers will need re chroming. original grill with opening slats are in place and do move but a little stiff. original radiator cap emblem that are always missing but included ready for re chroming. drivers door handle comes with key. under the bonnet sits a very good radiator(original core) with grill lever atatched. lucas startix unit on the bulkhead and large lucas voltage regulator and fuse box. wooden tool panel in place with starting handle and wheel brace. bulkhead plate with car number 12 and chassis and engine number. atent plate included but not fitted. twin lucas king of the road horns. large lucas king of the road headlamps and torpedo sidlights. Marine ply included for floors and 1 seat/battery floor panel has been made already. 2 bags of horse hair also included for seats but the rear seat still has its original inner tube that will need repairs.
ChassisSolid chassis that requires no welding and still has signs of black paint. all brake components. inkages. andbrake etc are in place. genuine luvax oil filled shock absorbers on all 4 corners. tyres all hold are and all have the original ace discs with humber caps. arge c spaner for removing discs is included. sits well on leaf springs on front and rear. was told that the front king pins were changed back in the 60's before the car was parked up. propshaft is in the last photo and differential was fine when last used.

Vogue Saloon. This model has special type ventilators in scuttle. inbuilt direction indicators. sliding quarter lights. built-in luggage box. twin electric horns. bumpers and stop light. Spring steering-wheel.
Sports Tourer. Full four-seater body built on semi-sporting lines. richly upholstered in best quality leather. pneumatic rear cushion. flat folding wind-screen. twin electric wipers. twin electric horns. spring steering-wheel. outside driving mirror. stop light. spare wheel cover and tonneau cover. pockets to doors.
CHASSIS. Engine has three-bearing crankshaft with counterweights forged integral with webs. "Cyclonic" induction. "Cushioned Power".
FUEL SYSTEM. Mechanical fuel pump. Tank capacity 10 gallons.
IGNITION. Coil and distributor with both automatic and manual advance. Automatic vacuum control giving correct setting under normal conditions. "Startix" automatic starting.
CONTROLS. Throttle and ignition levers. and a single lever controlling charging. lighting and dipping. are sunk in top of steering column. flush with the wheel. but. in addition. a separate switch is fitted which automatically gives an extra charge to the battery when the car is free wheeling. Central hand-brake and change. speed levers lying conveniently to driver's hand.
CLUTCH. Single dry plate clutch. totally enclosed.
GEARBOX. Four-speed with "Silent Third". Unit construction with the engine. Free wheel with dashboard control.
SPRINGS. Extra long semi-elliptic.
BRAKES. Self - energising Duo - Servo 4-wheel brakes. 10" diameter brake drums. Separately operated on all wheels by both hand and foot. STEERING. Marles Weller type. (Left hand steering optional. )
WHEELS AND TYRES. Detachable wire wheels with large chromium plated hubcaps. Dunlop 5. 00X 18 tyres.
ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT. Lucas 12-volt system with separate dynamo and starter. Electric horn. Dual screenwiper.

Strange Mascot,It is a mosquito.
The mascot on this car is a 1935 MG Midge with it' wings and nose bent downward for some reason?
This mascot was first sold in 1935 continuing for a few years.
