BEDFORD M Series TIPPER LORRY 1946 with twin wheels for sale

Tipper in blue & grey dry stored for some 10 years. Cab metalwork is sound and the windscreen surrounds were restored some years ago.
Trim and interior are good order. estored by the previous owner. The chassis is sound.
The six cylinder 30 hp engine (3519 cc petrol)is in good condition and is regularly started and run.
The clutch engages sharply. The gears engage readily and it is moveable.
Downsides are that the tipper hydraulics may require overhaul. Some timbers need replaced.
Brake seals were replaced some years ago but now require at least bleeding if not inspection of the seals. The handbrake works. The tyres hold air but have been on the vehicle for many years.
The wiring is partly disconnected and replacement would be desirable. although the harness is fairly simple.
The lorry is basically sound. although as the description makes clear. some reconditioning will be required to make it roadworthy as it has been in dry storage for a decade
The buyer will be required to remove the vehicle from storage in Edinburgh. Access to storage is good. Viewing is highly recommended.
The vehicle comes with a workshop manual and V 5 C OIL**** number The SS registration number showing in the outdoor photographs was retained by the previous owner.
A non returnable deposit of £250 by paypal is required within 48 hours of the auction finishing with the balance payable in full before collection. Collection to be within two weeks.
