Price significantly reduced. I will still consider offers on the listed price. this is a great car.

I've had six viewings. but no offers. not even cheeky ones. I don't know why. Brexit?

Citroen ID 19 P. 1962 (first registered 23. 05. 1962). 1900 cc. Imported to the UK from Lyon. France and first registered in the UK on 12. 07. 2004.

The UK registration certificate currently states number of former keeps as 2.

I purchased the car on 02. 05. 2009. the previous keeper purchased it on 25. 09. 2004.

I understand the previous keeper purchased it from the person who imported it from France. who had purchased it from the French classic Citroen dealer Philippe Losson

(www. losson. com ). who I understand resprayed it.

The current odometer reading is 21. 22 km. from the MOT certificates from 2004 through 2015. and the current reading. this appears to be the correct reading since the car has been in the UK – 121. 22 km (75. 24 miles).

The current MOT will expire on 13. 06. 2017. passed with no advisories. service and the following also carried out rear brake shoes and wheel cylinders replaced. o. s. f suspension cylinders seals replaced.

The car is classified as an Historic Vehicle. therefore road tax is free (NIL £). it is currently taxed until 01. 05. 2017. with the on-line application included within the document file.

Since I have owned the car it has had very few problems January 2010 the clutch was replaced. various other remedial tasks were carried out at that time. all of which are detailed on the invoice. August 2010 the front brake callipers were overhauled. again various other remedial tasks were carried out at that time. all of which are detailed on the invoice. June 2012 and September 2014 the car was serviced.

All invoices for work carried out by the previous owner are also present.

The car has always started without issue. sometimes when left for longer periods of time without starting (6-8 weeks on occasion in winter). it will start after 2-4 push-button attempts. it then rises as it should on the hydraulics.

It is garaged. I have only driven it three times in the last year. covering only 200 km. and the previous year covering only 486 km. and the year before 1. 13 km. There are reasons for this working overseas. busy with everyday life etc. It drives lovely. handles well. although heavy at very low speeds due to not having hydraulic assisted steering.

It runs on unleaded. and has done since at least when the previous owner purchased the car in 2004. Neither he or I have used an additive.

I believe the interior. seats. door cards. roof lining. dash etc. are all original. and is therefore slightly worn in some places. but in my opinion looks as it should for a 54 year old car. I have made a minor repair to the drivers seat outside top corner upholstery by ‘gluing' a small piece of leather over a minor hole. There are some minor stains on the roof lining. I have never tried to remove them. The carpet is not original. and is not the correct carpet for the ID as it does not fit correctly at the front centre section. there is a section of the floor not covered by the carpet. Unfortunately. the clock does not work. I have never attempted to repair it.

Due to the age the car was manufactured without seat belts. there is one rear lap belt. so still no seat belts. which actually adds to the authentic driving experience of this car.

There are some minor spots of corrosion on the driver side front wheel arch and passenger side front door. The wing mirror could do with being re-chromed.

As far as I know. and the various specialists who have looked after the car for myself and the previous owners have commented that there has never been any welding carried out on the underside / chassis. The car has regularly been rust-proofed.

There is a file containing all the invoices mentioned. various other documents and the original owners handbook (in French). Also included is a Repair Manual. a spare key on an original ID 19 key-ring. as well as the original key on the Citroen key-ring shown in the photos.

The car was valued by the Citroen Car Club for the previous owner for insurances purposes in 2005 at £10. 00 and for me in 2010 at £14. 00. both certificates are included within the documentation file.

I have given an honest description of the car. no guarantee / warranty is offered or implied. Any inspection welcome.

Viewing is required and essential. Price is negotiable . come and view. this car will not disappoint.

Additional Information: 123 ignition. also there is a 12 V socket discretely fitted below the dash.
