1953 V 8 Model 52 Super 4 door 6-passenger Riviera Sedan. to give the full brochure description.
Reputed 40000 miles from new. I am unable to guarantee this is correct. but the speedo says
so and you only have to look at this car to believe that it must be so!
Brought into the UK by a friend in late 2014. having purchased the car directly from the seller
at Hershey. UK registered with V 5 c in my name.
Unfortunately my friend uunexpectedly passed away last December and I purchased the car from
his widow. Apart from the V 5 c all other paperwork is 'in limbo' as his one way journey to hospital
also coincided with a house move. and all his ''stuff" has yet to be trawled. All that I do know is
that the car spent some time in a museum. borne out by tyres with flat spots from long term standing.
These have obviously been replaced along with the battery.
Mechanically. the car has new for 1953. 322 c. i 5300 cc 170 bhp V 8 with the optional Dynaflow
automatic transmission coil sprung suspension all round. excellent brakes and steering.
The paintwork is an older repaint job in pale green over green. The interior is superb. and whilst by no
means in new condition. it is truly exceptional for 63 years old and will withstand close inspection.
New pattern carpets have been fitted in recent times. Chrome is original and 'good'.
Bodywork is rust free. but there is the minimum of the odd mark here and there as one would expect.
The car is an instant starter. untempremental and remarkably sprightly.
Only for sale because I have also bought my deceased friends other classic car and already having a few old cars of my own
I am trying to pre-empt a garageing crisis this winter.
Any inspection invited.
