W113 mercedes benz 280sl Pagoda 1970 hard for sale

Mercedes Benz 280 sl Pagoda Automatic W 113 with Rare Sideways Rear Third Seat Option

The order no. was in Bremem Germany and date of delivery was 3 rd Sept 1969 with paint code 050 G
Here we have my very desirable left hand drive most sort after 1970
Automatic white 280 sl Pagoda. It has matching numbers. original spot welds on front wings. It is a 4 speed Automatic with power steering and 102. 00 miles. This car also comes with the sideways rear third seat option which is extremely rare making this car a 3 seater. It has an MOT until February 2014 and Taxed until February 2014 which is free being Historic.
Lovely true solid car as it has come from a dry state of California with all duties paid and now registered in the UK. which makes it a good solid investment as it hasn't been exposed to the climates we suffer in Europe.
I am the first UK owner with V 5 in my name. It comes with both hard and soft top. The soft top is excellent apart from the rear window has been cut out. I have a brand new black OEM soft top which is the original colour code 740 on DATA CARD. still in its box to go with the purchase of car which you can see in one of the pictures. I have had the hard top freshly stripped and resprayed recently.
Most of the Chrome inside and out is fantastic with some pieces maybe need rechroming. The wood work is equally in good condition. It is a very smooth and enjoyable ride with perfect slick gear changes.
Everything is working as it should be with good oil pressure. It starts with one turn of the key and runs just how it should. It has just recently had a new battery fitted. with new plugs and leads and a 20/50 grade oil and filter change.
This car is priced to sell and can be enjoyed and driven straight away.
It could do with bit of attention here and there to be honest. but it is a very nice solid car and is a real head turner.
