Up for sale 1974 vw kombi ute single cab. The body is ready for filling and spraying. all required ton wear has been replaced - inner & outer sills. front end. The body work was done by east coast kombi restorations west gosford. the cost for this was $3600 The front passenger door needs to bereskinned but for $450 it can be replaced so was going to head down that road instead. There is a 2. 0 litre fuel injected motor with a counterweighted crankshaft that was rebuilt by the vw grand master stan pobjoy. The rebuild included new heads. cylinder heads and the rest. There is 5500km on the motor since rebuild. and the rebuild was for no other reason than to get the counterweighted crank in and motor balanced. Cost of rebuild $3800 The motor came out of my 76 model t2 kombi so the complete history is known. Other than getting the injectors cleaned. the old heads honed and a new throttle body & airflow meter. there were never any problems. The s hose that goes between the airflow meter and throttle body is split.  not sure how hard they are to find these days but had been toying with the idea of putting dellorto's on otherwise. There is a newly rebuilt 2. 0 litre gearbox with 0km since rebuild. It had been fitted with taller gears - cost of rebuild $1100.  There are tailgates included. these were purchased of another ute interstate. they need some work done on them but they couldn't be passed up as they are like hens teeth these days. They cost $1200. All accessories. gauges. wiring loom. dash components etc there. No seats or door linings.
