Lancia Delta Integrale Evo2

A superb Blu Lagos Evo 2 of reference quality with continuous service history from new.

History of this car

One of 215 made. according to the Fiat archive this Blu Lagos Evo 2 chassis 585193 was built in May 1994 and delivered to Fiat-Lancia dealer Autoper with original engine 1549768. This is a matching numbers car today. It was supplied new to the first owner in Verona. northern Italy on 12th October 1994. The car was serviced at 15. 00 KM on 16th January 1996 at a Lancia main dealer. and again on 14th October 1997 at which time the car had travelled 21. 00 KM. Both of these services are stamped in the original Lancia Warranty and Service booklet that accompanies the car. The car remained under the careful eye of its first owner until 2002 when it was imported into the UK. at which time it had travelled just 27. 00 KM.
The car was imported to the UK in September 2002 where the cam belt was immediately changed at 27. 00 KM. The meticulous second owner kept the car for some 10 years during which time a vast stack of service records and receipts were accumulated. We purchased the car in 2012 at which time the car had done 72. 00 KM. We have continued to maintain and cherish this Integrale and have put some 20. 00 KM on it. including two trips through Europe. The car now reads 92. 00 KM.

Body

Impeccable. and probably better than when new. In 2006 the car was subject to a no-expense-spared windows out repaint by SPR Coachworks. The quality of the work is second to none. and the car presents as well today as it did then. with a glass-like. entirely blemish free finish which would put multi million pound Ferraris to shame.

All four wheels are absolutely pristine.

The glass is the correct original Solextra blue tint type all round. and is factory fresh as is all exterior trim and lighting.

The superior quality of this example continues underneath with an arrow straight chassis and zero rust. The car is waxoyled annually. and shows no signs of previous repair.

Mechanicals

Much has been written over the years concerning the driving experience the Integrale offers and there is no need to go into that here. suffice to say our car lives up to all expectations and drives 100% how it should.

The engine in our example is super strong and whisper quiet. having benefitted from a top end rebuild in 2012.

Oil pressure is factory standard.

The engine bay is fantastically clean and authentically detailed. and a joy to behold.

The gearbox shifts smoothly in and out of every gear.

Suspension and brakes are in fine order. with the master cylinder having been replaced earlier this year.

Tyres are Toyo Proxes which really hold the road well and have plenty of tread.

Marque specialists Day and White changed the cam belt in March of this year.

Electrics: Wow - everything works as it should!

MoT until July 2016 with no advisories.


Interior

A real strong point of this car. Meticulous care has been taken over the years to keep this original interior in as-new condition. The delightful high-back Recaro seats are in excellent unworn condition. The rear seats appear to have never been used. The cream leather has been religiously fed and is hence very supple and not dried out as can be found with other examples of these cars. The headlining was replaced this year with the correct type foam backed alacantara. The carpets are excellent. The door cards. dashboard and all plastic trim are like new.

Like a new car. not the tiniest mark.

Summary

Unlike some ultra low mileage examples on the market that are not driven and are implicitly likely to present a plethora of electrical issues. our car is driven regularly (only in the dry!) and exceptionally well maintained. both of which are key to owning a reliable Integrale. Nonetheless. this example is in concours condition. testament to the scrupulous love and care this car has received throughout its 21 year life.
