Current customer rating: (545 votes ) based onRELISTED DUE TO EBAY CANCELLING THE LISTING (They thought my account had been compromised). So back to square one.
Hopefully the 118 Watchers find this again.
I have reduced the price to £9500 as this is the only price I will take for this car. Hopefully. this avoids any confusion.
Welcome to my advert for my much loved Lancia Montecarlo. I have owned this vehicle for 3 years and I have undertaken a lot of work to get it to the condition it is in today. The various enhancements mean that this vehicle performs well and is reliable. Modern tyres combined with more modern suspension geometry means that this car handles significantly better than it did in the 1970's. I hope you like the enhancements to this vehicle.
Previous owner owned vehicle for 24 years.
This car features in the book "Classic Italian Marques" by Jonathon Wood. This is a nice bit of provenance.

Things that need looking at
Heater valve had a small drip so it is currently by passed. I have sourced a replacement valve that needs fitting and there are instructions included)
Horn is intermittent.
Steering column bearing knocks a teeny bit (sometimes. I'm just being fussy here)
Passenger side dash top is sitting loose. (Common issue). You can't tell this is the case but I thought I should mention it.
Fuel gauge has stopped working. I'm sure it's just an earth issue as it shows full all the time.
That's it. !!
EQUIPMENT
Thermoplastic resin bumpers. thermoplastic resin nose shell. rear window shelf. vertical rear window. brake cooling bumper air scoops. two sloping roof fins. California sports mirrors. leather sports seats. Grey alcantara trim. electric windows. sports instrument cluster. electric clock. two-spoke sports steering wheel. glove box. two speed wipers with flick action. two-speed heater fan. face level ventilation.
EXTERIOR
Designed and built by Pininfarina this two-seater fixed-head coupe looks stunning finished in gloss black Nero. originally Bianco. Benefiting from a detailed engine out. interior out. windows out restoration . a catalogue of over 120 photographs reveal the level of work involved and importantly. how structurally perfect this example now is having had light use since the full rebuild. There is some tiny debris in the top coat leading to a few isolated areas of paint imperfections and the bonnet has some age related markings. All the correct series one badging is intact. The factory glass has a darker tint and the rare rectangular headlamp clusters are present. Absolutely no corrosion or rust issues this car is ready for a new owner to show and be very proud. Prepare yourself to be asked a lot of questions when you pull into the petrol station. "Wow. it's the car from Back to the Future" (It's not by the way!) "It's Herbie's girlfriend" (It sort of is!). "I love your Ferarri" (It's not a Ferarri !)
There is a high quality tailored (AUDI) car cover included in the sale. It fits lovely.
INTERIOR
An expensive full upholstery retrim is instantly apparent when entering the cockpit. The reupholstered black leather seats follow the identical stitching design of the originals and blend perfectly with immaculate door cards and alcantara soft dash. The controls feel typically fragile but other than the heated rear screen. all work correctly. a modern audio unit has been neatly fitted. The front luggage compartment offers a generous 7. cu. ft of storage and retains its original clean carpeting. Once settled in this car offers a unique drive full of Italian flair. There is a replica 4 month period tax disc in the windscreen adding to its period charm.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
A transverse mid-engine layout with 4 cylinders in line and a capacity of 1995cc this vocal engine produces 120bhp at 6000rpm in standard form. Twin Weber 40 DCNF on Alquatti manifold and the custom made straight through exhaust increase this to more like 130bhp. A delightful exhaust note encourages late gear changes and weighing only 1040kg progress is rapid and tremendous fun. This car can easily sit at modern motorway speeds without any annoying exhaust resonance. However. the engine sound is always there as it sits just behind your head. Regular maintenance records and photos of a full engine rebuild help assure the new owner this vehicle performs as well as it looks. The dry single plate clutch with a 5-speed gearbox is light but familiarisation is required between first and second as second gear is located slightly to the left of first.
WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES.
Very rare and correct disc type alloy wheels only fitted to the series one are unmarked and beautiful. As new 185/70 R13 Yokohama A021 performance tyres fitted. Disc brakes all round with independent front and rear circuits. The servo unit acting on the front wheels only has been disconnected as per the system standard on the series 2 model. The current brake set up is the very best you can achieve whilst still having the option to run 13" wheels.
FUTURE PARTS AND SUPPORT FOR THE MARQUE.
There are a number of specialist dealers who are able to source a mixture of new (old stock). nbsp;re manufactured and second hand parts. The car also shares a number of parts with other Fiat group cars meaning that some spares a plentiful and reasonable price.
There is a very active club - The Montecarlo Consortium - Help and support is always available from the great bunch of enthusiasts.

THE LARGE PRINT
I can't really believe I'm having to type this but only a few hours into putting the car up for sale I have been inundated with crazy folk.
If you make an appointment to view - please turn up or call me to explain you aren't coming.
No. I do not want to take your dog as part ex.
Just call me if you're interested. Don't send me a text with your e mail address on. I am willing to do a deal with a genuine buyer. But. I do not need to give this car away.
Seriously. if you have the slightest inkling that you might be a lunatic. timewaster or "messer". move on and leave me alone.
Always happy to talk to genuine enthusiasts / people. I'm a nice guy !
