An incredible showstopper that inspires the same feelings upon seeing it that showroom visitors felt for the first time in the autumn of 1939. just as WWII began.
Production ceased shortly thereafter due to the war effort to build jeeps and tanks instead.
Same collector/owner since 1980 for this older restoration pickup. All original except the rear fenders are Fibreglass and an electric fuel pump has been added . Some hairline body fill cracks in a few places. Paint and chrome good having been garage stored for the past 35 years.
Featuring a side mounted spare and wide whitewall tires. it also sports the chromed exterior mirror and optional chrome headlight bezels. The truck bed has hand formed steel covering the oak floor beneath just as Ford did when the truck was new . The original 221 cubic inch Ford flathead V 8 starts effortlessly. shows excellent oil pressure and runs so smoothly that one could be forgiven for thinking it was a brand new truck. The steering. suspension and brakes operate just as willingly and the gauges all function. Includes a custom cover.
Not many original Ford pickups left from this era. This is your chance to own a rare and nice piece of automotive history . an investment that cannot be ignored.
