Beautiful Classic 1981 Mercedes-Benz SL280 Convertible for sale

This classic 1981 Mercedes SL 280 convertible is finished in light blue with cream cloth / leather interior (generally considered as the best colour combination). The car has had 7 owners from new and. as can be seen from the photo's. it is generally in very nice all round condition.

There are a few areas of the vehicle which require attention to bring the car back to it's pristine former glory such as a tear in the cloth upholstery on the passenger seat and some minor corrosion including the front edge of the bonnet. underneath the rear bumper and a few other isolated instances. However. the car is structurally sound with no major corrosion within the susceptible areas such as under the sills. wheel arches and chassis.

The car is mechanically sound having recently been serviced and she drives superbly. The current MOT expired in April of this year.
The car has covered 104. 00 miles since it was first registered in 1981 and the convertible hood was replaced approximately 3 years ago so this is in excellent condition. The car is also supplied with the original hard top which. again. is in very good condition. Tyres have plenty of tread all round and the car starts 'on the button' every time.

A great example of a classic car and. with a little TLC. could be made absolutely mint! A fantastic investment at the asking price as good condition SL's are becoming harder and harder to find with values reaching well above £20 k.

Reasonable offers below the asking price may be considered. If you are looking for a 280 SL that represents excellent value for money. we very much doubt that you will find a better example at this price.
