Studebaker : Commander 2 Dr. 'Low Boy" coupe for sale
Current customer rating:
This is a very nice example of a survivor '54 Studebaker "Low Boy" Commander Starlight. V 8. 3 speed Automatic transmission.
with an engine that starts right away and runs very smoothly and quietly. It is originally a Texas car coming to Canada in 1996. I have owner records going back to 1967 showing there were two owners before me. from that time. I only drove it a couple of times and then stored it with my other Studs. The paint is older driver quality with a bit of bubbling happening in the usual places. Some at the bottom rear of the front fenders. some beside the antenna. This is the same as when I bought the car 5 years ago. It hasn't progressed due to being stored I suppose. There are no rips or tears in the upholstery and the floor is carpeted. The radio is not working at this time but the records show it had recent work when I bought it. The lights. wipers. turn signals. heater. defrost. all work. (I'm selling all my 8 car collection and just don't have the time for all the little fixes). The picture of the trunk is poor so understand there is a little rust in the bottom left corner of the trunk - the round hole is a factory access hole. All the needed fender fix panels are readily available on the Net or advertised in the Studebaker club's monthly magazine. for only a few hundred dollars. This car runs and drives very well. I wouldn't be worried driving it on any trip within the lower 48 .
Also comes with a 400 page comprehensive Shop Manual ( 1953 with the 1954 Supplement ). 40 page owner's manual. page owner's Automatic Drive Manual. 134 Page Automatic Drive Shop Manual. and a Power Steering Shop Manual just in case you put power steering on this one. I am moving to SE Asia and selling all my car collection on Ebay. I am in Canada (Vancouver BC ) and bought this car 5 years ago from a local who I saw many times. over a ten year period. driving this car around town.
