Its fair to say that the last proper car that Triumph produced was the TR 6. Its DNA stretches back to the early side screen TR's of the mid 1950's. Our personal favourites are the TR 3 a and the TR 6.
On account of the power of the early TR 6's. producing 150 bhp. these generally command a premium. The TR 6 is a handsome brute which is a very easy car to live with. being equally happy as a touring machine or on a Sunday morning blast. Needless to say. the spares backup is extremely good.
The key to classic car purchase is condition. There is a huge difference between average cars and cars that have been properly restored. It is sometimes difficult to understand the range of price of cars that may appear similar. but its always worth reminding yourself of the cost of restoration.
In the instance of this TR 6. not only is the quality of the restoration extremely high. but it was undertaken with a new Heritage body shell. It is the first one we have encountered. The net result is impressive. Finished in signal red with black interior. it ticks all the boxes.
But don't take my word for it- feel free to inspect and appreciate the work and time that has been invested in this TR 6.
