The Volkswagen Beetle needs little introduction. occupying as it
does. a significant position in the minds and hearts of a mobile
global audience from as far back as 1938 with over 21 million
manufactured. It certainly was. as it was aptly named 'The People's
Car'. nd becamethe longest-running and most manufactured car of a
single design platform anywhere in the world.
We are pleased to offer this genuine 1978 left-hand drive
Convertible which has recently arrived from Italy and. in fact. is
still Italian registered. Since arriving into the UK. this 1200 cc
model has undergone some re-commissioning works and we are advised
that it will arrive at the sale with a fresh Mo T test
certificate.
The coachwork. resplendent in black with contrasting red and
black interior. is a combination that is certainly striking. It has
purposely not been registered in the UK as of yet. allowing a new
owner the option if they wish to take the Cabriolet out of the UK
again. As it is a European registered motor car. it may be easily
registered in the UK if one so wishes.
Complete with its Italian documentation. this little Beetle
Cabriolet offers charming open air motoring and presented. we
believe. with a very reasonable estimate.
