Convertible models of the W 111 series first appeared in 1961. ore modern in style. the 220 SEb Coupé and Convertible were better appointed too. being equipped as standard with a rev-counter. eather upholstery and four-speed automatic transmission. With coachwork hand-built at Sindelfingen and a triple layer soft-top. the 220 SE Cabriolet was produced in very limited numbers and just 2. 29 were built by the time production ceased in 1965.

This rare original RHD manual gearbox model is finished in Garnet Red with Black leather upholstery and black soft top. Ideal for long distance cruising in absolute comfort. Fitted with the bigger 280 engine to provide even better cruising performance of this luxury 4 seater convertible.

The choice for open 4 seater cars is quite limited and the 220 SE must be one of the most comfortable long legged cruisers available.

The 220 SE was only built between 1961-1965 making it one of the smallest productions of the W 111 series. This particular car is even rarer in that it is an original RHD manual version.
