Rare and desirable 1971 W 108 280 SEL this car is the rare long wheelbase model with a 2. 8 litre fuel injected engine and 4 speed automatic transmission. Featuring the same chassis as the W 109 - 300 SEL but without air bag suspension . The car is structurally sound but notwithstanding. has some rust in the usual places but nothing to serious or hard to fix. Hoses to fuel pump are believed to be perished and leaking and can't be started now for that reason. Was registered and used as a daily driver until May. 2014. Guaranteed engine and mechanically operative but must attend to fuel pump. Some disassembly of door trims and woodwork but all parts included for putting back in place. Extras include electric windows and factory underdash air conditioning with optional floor shift. Good potential for future appreciation in value.
