1960 was an important year for Cadillac. marking the first step towards de-finning and ushering in a new. more conservative method of luxury styling.

For the fourth consecutive year. Cadillac brought significant design changes under the supervision of new General Motors Vice President of Styling Bill Mitchell. who sought to impose a new era of refined lines.

The pillarless Style 6029 Fleetwood-bodied 60 Special Sedan once again returned with even more features but with less radical design architecture.

New was a handsome simulated leather roof. chrome sill moldings and rear fender louvers replacing scoops and stainless trim from 1959.

Pricing started at $6. 33 and 11. 00 were sold to the fortunate few.

The car is powered by its original and correct 06 K code 390 ci V 8 with correct Rochester 4 bbl carburetion producing 325 hp and mated to a smooth-shifting Hydra-Matic transmission! The list of standard features on this 4. 80 pound car reads like an almanac and this car has several notable options including power steering. power brakes. power windows and vent windows. power 8-way front bench seat with armrest. air conditioning. AM radio. day/night rear-view mirror. full tinted glass. passenger vanity mirror and rubber floor mats! The car rides on Eldorado wheels with brand new 8. 20-15 Universal 4-ply whitewall tires!

This Sixty Special had a cosmetic refresh a while back that included paint and chrome. which both show very well considering that they are probably 10+ years old.

The green vinyl/cloth interior appears to be original and will show its 54 years but remains very presentable.

Most of the window glass is original and the car retains its original Firestone spare. jack and tool.

As mentioned above. the car rides on fresh Universal whitewall tires and has had a once-over by our mechanics and a good number of test miles to ensure that all mechanical aspects of the car are functioning as they should.
