Chrysler : New Yorker CLUB COUPE

1953 Chrysler New Yorker Club Coupe.

Bought this from a dear friend of mine that has heath problems. /p>

 and he had it for over 20 years & between both of us we only put about a thousand miles on it in 20+ years.

 I would not have any problem jumping in it and going anywhere with it.

This was the Top of The Line Chrysler for 1953 and was to compete with factory air conditioning

One of 3715 built and only under 100 with air with fewer than 10 remaining still on the road.

Same body as the New Yorker Deluxe. I have the original Chrysler bill sheet from ANDREW MURPHY & SON INC.  Certificate AND SHIPPING INVOICE that will go with the car.

The Car is completely rust free and retains all of its original sheet metal.

Mechanically. nbsp;good condition.   It starts. moves and does not smoke at all. shifts fine with its semi automatic 4 speed/hi/low style transmission. nbsp;and this is a power shift automatic that once you select forward or reverse just let off the clutch & it shifts just like an automatic.

I have had this car for about 6 months or so & had it to shows & just use it here and there and it drives like a brand new car and shifts the same and has PLENTY OF POWER and runs very smoothly with no noises. This is set up with power assist steering but turns easy.

This also has spare service parts in trunk & car cover that will stay with the car. Door and trunk locks work good.

Everything is in tip top shape and works as it should. The radio is the only thing that does not work and I really think it's just a tube that needs replaced.

Holds about 65 to 70 pounds of oil pressure at all times & yes even at 75 miles per hour. you didn't just read that. ooopppppssss.

The interior is in very good condition overall and looks good. nbsp;the headliner is in good  shape. nbsp;overall good suitable condition as a weekend cruiser or like me take it to car shows and cruse and park it & lift that hood and show off that HEMI.   The seats feel good and in new like condition with no tears or rips. nbsp;the dash is in great shape along with door panels in great shape. Carpet is in new like condition so please have clean cloths on and wipe off your shoes before interring car.

The hood was painted about 20 years ago & looks great & fenders have some fade on them and some very small light pitting on the chrome here and there but everything is old and original. Needs a good cleaning and polish to her.

If this car is sold & bought in Delaware the porcelain tag and plates will stay with this car BUT if sold out of state I will be keeping the tag and plate to put on my other classic.
