Oldsmobile : Cutlass cutlass s convertable for sale
Current customer rating:
1971 oldsmobile cutlass s convertable. factory red car with white interior and options. texas car up till 2006 when it was driven here to wisconsin and was used as a summer weekend car at a cottage. the car is missing the convertable top boot and air conditioning belt other then that it appears to be complete. the car runs good(starts normally with 2 pumps of the gas pedal). it hasn't been driven much the last 3 years but i took it for a short drive this week and the transmisson shifts good. rakes and power steering work fine. does have an exhaust leak which sounds like a donut gasket? pipes and mufflers look good. power top works as do the lights. the glass appears to be the factory tinted and its all in good shape. the interior is original(other then carpet looks like it was changed) and its in good shape for a 1971. dash doesnt have any cracks. eats aren't ripped up. there is some rust on the outer edge of the passenger door(bottom seem on the inside looks good) and some rust on the outer edge of the trunk lid. both look like they could be repaired fairly easly. see pictures of both areas. otherwise rest of the body is in good shape. i couldn't find any large bondo patches. the floors. runk floor. and frame all look in good shape. it's never been fully restored or taken apart. but it did have one paint job in 1996 which shows it age(the clear coat is peelling on the hood and trunk lid) the black convertable top is original and in bad shape( a friend does have a new white one in the box with the glass window which can be purchased for $175. 00 extra if wanted). the jack. spare tire. and tire cover are in the trunk. overall this car is in good shape for its age and with a new paint job and a new top this would be a nice car. or tinker with it and drive it the way it is! it would also be a very nice car to make a 442 clone. i do have more pictures i can email to seriously interested people. if you have any questions please email or call . here is a list of options on the car(all look to be original):350 4 barrel v 8 rocket engineturbo 350 automatic transmissionam/fm radioair conditioning(belt off compressor-compressor does turn buy hand) rest all appears to be on the carpower disc brakespower steeringpower topbucket seatsfloor shifter with consolclock in dashsport mirrorstrunk lightunder hood lighttinted glasswheel well moldingsfactory red paint with white interior. 15 inch wheels-think those were added?daul exhaust-added somewhere along the line?
