This is a Porsche 1987 Carrera Cabriolet with the M 491 option which means this car left the Porsche factory with everything the 930 turbo has except the turbo charged engine and the four speed transmission. This is actually the first year these cars came with the much superior G 50 5 speed transmission instead of the 915 trans.

Car was bought new at Rector Motor Car Co in Burlingame . California which is a factory Porsche dealer. The car had the same owner from 1987 until July 2014 and has lived its whole life on the San Francisco Peninsula.

The original owner sold the car because being 27 years older than when he bought it he did not drive it much and it was not conducive to his current lifestyle to own this type of car. He was a yellow pages sales person with his region being Fresno and Bakersfield so this car saw a lot of highway driving with 249. 00 miles currently on the odometer. But don't let that scare you as 80% of the mileage is freeway and this man maintained this car to perfection. Any time it needed attention the dealer took care of the car. Less than 5. 00 miles ago the G 50 was taken out by GD Racing and sent to Patrick Motorsports where it was completely rebuilt and sent back with a new KEP Pressure Plate and clutch. Its really is a sweet car. I drove it today and it runs and rides as nice as any air cooled Porsche I have ever driven. It doesn't need shocks or brakes it does everything a Porsche is supposed to do.
