COUGAR XR-7

If you have wished to find a rock solid car from yesteryear to restore/drive/invest. / this could well be your car.

Basically everything is original. There are no rust problems. all body panels are solid.

This Cougar is low mileage. one owner. woman driven and nice!

WANT TO BUILD A "DREAM" COUGAR. START RIGHT HERE

This XR-7 is a ONE OWNER car!

2. This Mercury started it's life in Texas. and spent the last 30 years in eastern Virginia.

Basically. no snow in

either location. thus no salt. thus no rust problems.

The body and brakes are solid.

3. This car was. the wife's car and she was primary driver.

4. Since 1980. the car has been kept inside. and driven very little.

5. This XR-7 has been maintained.

It is a street drivable car. right now. you can drive it home!

6. It has just passed a mechanical Virginia Inspection. This means tires. suspension. exhaust. brakes. lights. glass. body. horn. defroster. etc. are all in working order and street legal.

7. The sequential turn signal lights work.

8. The headlight doors work.

9. The AC works and has been converted to 134.

10. The leather interior is in exceptional condition. only one small flaw. anywhere.

11. The headliner. interior panels. carpet are all like new.

12. The trunk is original and like new.

13. Drive train checks out great.

Engine. transmission. & differential work well. No smoke. knocks/noises or drips.

14. New battery

15. The current tires were installed July 17. 1980.

16. Mileage is exempt.

The current mileage of 31. 69 is. according to the title and paperwork. the correct mileage. It has only been driven 4. 00 miles since 1980. The Cougar has a five digit odometer. If it had a six digit odometer. there could be a one. in front of that.

That is a guess on my part. and it could be a zero. and zero is what the paperwork says.
