Beautifully preserved example of the classic suicide door Lincoln Continental convertible. Local two owner DC car that has been always garaged and driven sparingly. Last year for the convertible with only 2276 units being produced. Body is very straight with no rust issues at all and has correct Medium Beige Metallic paint that was redone several years ago but still shows extremely well. All chrome. glass and rubber trim was redone at the same time and is also in very nice shape overall. Everything fits wonderfully and car shows no signs of any accidents. Interior is outstanding. considering it is mostly original. Leather on front drivers seat is showing a bit of wear but overall is remarkable for its age. Dash. carpets and door panels are also great and has brand new soft top. All gauges. lights. signals. power windows. plus quarter windows function great and power top works perfectly. Full power seats also work as they should and car has just the right amount of Patina. We believe the mileage may be true as title states it is actual plus car was sold new in Washington DC DSO. so has always been local. Mechanically the car is very sound with fresh water pump and thermostat just installed by us as it had started to leak a bit from lack of driving. Engine runs very smooth with lots of power and trans shifts nice and clean. Suspension. brakes. exhaust etc. are all real nice with underneath pictures available upon request. Both engine and trunk compartments are very correct and clean but previous owner did have expensive stereo system professionally installed for great tunes when cruising. Wheels are in great shape and tires are nearly new and car still has factory owners books and service manuals. Overall a truly well preserved car that has never been restored but always taken care of like a member of the family. Lack of driving the car was motivation for sale so excellent opportunity for someone looking for one of these magnificent automobiles.
