Up for sacrifice is my 1984 Brat GL 4wd.   4 speed manual trans.   I always wanted a brat to fix up and play with but I wanted to start with a rust free one so I originally found this one in southern California in 2004. Since then It has been completely takin apart. painted. and reassembled. In the bed is the original jump seats. They have never been modified or cut. The head rests are in place and the seat belts work like new! VERY RARE! People always get a real kick out of riding in the back of this thing. It never gets old.  The T-tops can be opened or removed.

A custom 4" lift kit was installed. New Bridgestone Blizzaks on Mazda truck wheels. The hubs were all converted from 4 to 6 lug so there is many wheel options that can be installed. I even found a space saver 6 lug spare tire that fits perfectly under the hood in the stock location.  Manual steering has been converted over to power steering. Brand new clutch installed. New front axles. There is no rubbing from tires and only a small lower corner of the front fenders have been trimmed to allow clearance. It was important to me not to go crazy with big tires and then have to cut up such a perfect body to make them clear.

The stock brat engine produces only 70 hp which is unacceptable.  This engine was completely torn down and the block halves and heads were sent to ram performance in Ohio to do the machine work. They are specialized in Subaru engines.   (  http://www. ramengines. com   )  It was bored . 30 over. dowel pins added to the case halves for strength. All new pistons (10:1 compression). new bearings . and new high lift cam installed The heads were totally done over too. Better valve springs & stainless valves. The heads were dual ported for the custom intake and a weber was carb installed. The distributor was re-worked. new alternator . ew radiator and all new hoses.   She runs  strong and has a neat sound with the big cam. It definitely likes the higher rpms now.

The interior is clean but needs to be finished. There is no carpets but the floor has been sprayed with truck bed lining.   The seats are torn under the aftermarket seat covers. The stock radio with cassette does not work. Everything else operates perfectly.

It runs and drives well and is a lot of fun.  Its a fun around town toy and wouldn't suggest it to be an every day driver if that's what your looking for.  4wd goes in and out on the fly.  I have it registered historic as it is almost 31 years old. It is currently registered and insured with American collector car insurance. The title is in hand and ready to go. I have kept it garaged and covered and probably put only 5000 miles on it since its re-birth. With the restoration almost ten years old now it has only a few blemishes starting. Some very minor blisters up high on the B-pillar and more minor pimples on the  front fenders. The undercarriage is clean and rust free.

Give this Brat a good home as its  rare to find one in this condition.  Serious bidders only please. Bidders with less than 1 feedback will be cancelled. I have heard all the scams so don't waste your time on me!  I want a $100 non-refundable deposit at the end of auction and the balance in cash when you take delivery of it. I'm located in northwest NJ. Wantage township 07461 Thanks for looking!
