Current customer rating:
Beautiful 1951 Ford Vicky traditional hot rod/mild custom.
The car belonged to my father so I will describe it with as much detail as I know.
I have driven the car several times and it drives great with no known issues.
Car is black with red vinyl pleated/tuck and roll interior throughout. red carpet in excellent condition.
Motor/trans: Car has an 8 ba flathead with a 3/4 race cam. Offenhauser heads and intake. Holley 390 cfm carb. Fenton headers with cherry bombs.
Transmission has been changed to a T 5 out of a mid-80's s-10 with a hurst/core short throw shifter.
Rear end I believe is out of a granada or something similar with highway gears. no idea what ratio but the car will run at highway speed in excess of 80 mph all day.
Motor starts great and runs fantastic. transmission shifts super easy and is very tight. no noises or problems at all and the car runs fantastic. Car runs at about 190 degrees all the time. I have driven it recently with temps above 95 outside with no overheating problems.
Chassis/brakes/etc: As far as know and can tell. the frame is original and has not been altered.
The front suspension I believe to be completely rebuilt original with lowered coil springs (maybe Aerostar springs or something similar) to lower front end 2"-3".
The rear has new parallel leaf springs. bushings etc with the granada or something similar rear end (again I think) and 2" lowering blocks so the car sits pretty much level.
Brakes are non-power drum front and rear. car stops easy and straight. emergency brake is hooked up and works properly.
Body: The body is very straight. no rust issues that I can find.
Body is black and paint is shiny and looks really good withred pin striping on hood. trunk. tops of fenders. door jambs etc.
Most of the stock trim has been retained except it has been decked and trunk release is now inside filler door.
The chrome is in really good shape. is clean and shiny.
Bumpers are not stock obviously. but are in perfect shape and look good.
Have fender skirts that are in good shape and match the paint perfectly. Skirts are shown in a couple of pictures.
Interior/misc: The interior is in great shape. clean. no problems with red dash with white pin striping. red pleated seats. door panels. kick panels. headliner and package tray.
Red carpet is in great shape and looks good. no stains or issues.
Has the factory instrument cluster. speedo works. oil pressure and fuel gauges work fine.
Temp gauges have been added below the dash so that each head is monitored independently.
Radio does not work.
I don't know if the heater works.
All lights and turn signals work properly.
Windshield wipers work I believe but I have not tried them recently.
Horn works.
Has a sprint car style steering wheel on stock column right now but I also have the correct factory steering wheel that is in excellent shape and will come with the car.
Windows all roll up and down and seal good.
Doors close tight.
Glass is in good shape. I did note a couple little places on the windshield on the passenger side where the glass has bubbled down by the seal. its not noticeable really but there are a few little places.
Tires/wheels: Tires are american classic whitewalls with a fairly narrow whitewall.
Wheels I think are stock wheels painted red with flipper hubcaps (single bar/hollywood style(?)) and are in good shape.
The wheels could probably stand to be repainted or powder-coated if you are going to run without full covers of some kind.
Above is the best of my knowledge but car is sold as-is where is with no warranty or representations as to anything.
Buyer is responsible for picking up the car at my house after payment has been recieved.
Prefer cash in hand but willing to work with winning buyer on EFT to my bank.
I WILL NOT release the car until my bank assures me that payment has cleared regardless of the amount of time that takes.
Payment in full due within 7 days of close of auction. $1000 non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours of close of auction. Please let me know if you have questions.
Thanks
