1970 Jeep Commando Convertible "C101".  Equipped with the desirable 160 horsepower "Dauntless" v6. this is a fairly rare convertible model. with a full folding top and quarter glass. which no other model had. It's also a 4 wheel drive model. Condition-wise it's fairly complete. though in the years in spent in storage. someone stole parts off the motor including  the intake manifold. I was told it ran before this happened. though it's a moot point now. The body/frame are overall solid (see pics). with the exception of a few areas. the car does have rusty rockers and is in need of some need of floor repair. Body looks to be all original. Had the full roof on it until flatbed ride home. all the top bows are there. all the glass is there. Seats are complete but have some some separation in the seams. All New tires. 20 years ago. so very dry rotted. I have some extra parts for the dash also. It still wears it's original "island blue" paint. which was a new color for 1970. This would make a cool project for a fun cruiser.

Comes with Bill of sale only **NO TITLE. Rolls and steers fine but needs to be trailered.

I welcome any questions. and you are welcome to come take a look at it. I've tried to describe the car honestly since even though the price is super low. I don't want there to be confusion or disillusion to the cars as-is state. and physically seeing a car is always the best way to judge if its the right project for you. That said. if you are too far to come look. ask the questions and I'll do my best to get them answered for ya!

*See my other auctions. Loss of storage is forcing the sale of a bunch of projects and parts that I've accumulated over the last 40 years.

**I've gotten quite a few questions as to why i  have listed this car as having a salvage title. The answer is that from what i can see. eBay doesn't have an option for "no title. bill of sale only". which is silly since so many states don't issue titles for cars this old. I didn't want to list it as a clear title though since there is no title for it. just a bill of sale. so i figured i'd list it as salvage. though that seems to have caused more issues than i figured. Hopefully this clears it up. ***
