351W/factory 4spd/Hideaways

Up for auction is a very interesting 1969 XR-7 Mercury Cougar with a 351 W 4 bbl and a factory 4 spd and working hideaway headlights. The car was purchased 21 YEARS AGO in Tuscon Arizona. The car was originally purchased with an odometer reading of 60 K. It now reads 71 K. Cannot confirm it as actual mileage only that the car has been driven 11 K in the past 21 years by the same owner

The car is a beautiful turquoise ( not known to be factory color) with the original white interior. As you can see the interior is in excellent condition and all original

The car is believed to have all the original body panels to include floors and trunk pans

The body on the car is very clean with a minor ding above wheel well. Less than you would expect over 21 years

The car shows no signs of rust anywhere

The engine is the original 351 W /4 BBL with an upper half rebuild a couple of years ago. The 4 BBL Holley. headwork. mild cam and manifold were added at this time. The engine compartment is completely detailed . The car runs as strong as it looks and with the 4 spd a blast to drive

Front and rear(air) shocks

The 4 spd manual transmission is original in the car with a rebuild a couple of years ago

The rear end is also original

The body on the car is very straight and amazing clean with the paint a deep vivid turquoise color and great shine as seen in the pictures

The car shows absolutely no signs of rust anywhere

The car is for sale locally and as a result my friends want to reserve the right to end the auction early. It is being sold "in as is" condition and with no implied warranties either written or verbal. He is stating that he has owned the car for 21 years and believes all information to be completely accurate based on the information provided when he originally purchased the car

A 2. 00 dollar deposit is due within 24 hrs after the auction ends. Payment must be in the form of a certified bank check and shipping costs will be the responsibility of the buyer.

My friends are not dealers just good ole fashioned musclecar enthusiasts who owned these cars back in the day when they weren't considered classics.
