Selling my wifes 1955 ford truck. she has other obligations at this time and cant enjoy it as she has. interesting thing. the last 3 owners of this truck were women. and several had the same first name.  we have had it at least 6 years and used it at least a little every year. always garage kept.

motor and trans are new within 2 years and have less then 1000 trouble free miles.
Engine and trans: start. run and drive perfect. very user friendly. perfectly tuned. starts instantly. cold or hot. with no choke or hassle. and does not over heat.

paint and body work was done several years before we got it. it is not a show truck but it is very nice and gets most attention at every show we attend. truck is very easy to drive. extremely powerful. and has a deep. thunderous sound. Not too loud . but gets its point across.

ENGINE: $8000 in parts. NEW. less then 1000 miles in 2 years.  originally 1971 429 Ford big block.
    Custom tubular mounts . Bored and stroked to 472 cubic inches. block was magna fluxed. sonic checked. ored . 060" over. longer stoke crank was installed. everything balanced and blue printed. custom pistons were made with a final ratio of 9. 75 to 1 compression. For maximum efficiency on premium street gas.   heads are ported and polished with new everything. including adjustable crane gold rockers. It has a Weiand Stealth intake good from idle to 7500 rpm's with a Barry Grant "Mighty Demon" 850cc carburetor. custom cam shaft ( will post specs later). ceramic coated shorty headers. 3" custom dual exhaust with magnaflow mufflers. (stainless). exhaust exits in front of rear tires. chrome. one wire alternator. holley mechanical fuel pump and filter.

TRANSMISSION: $1700.  automatic. C6 new from ford. Updated for performance use. includes higher stall converter and reverse. manual valve body. Shifts real firm like it should. NO SLIP. also has custom shifter.

RADIATOR: custom aluminum . $700 brand new with dual high volume electric fans with computerized thermostatic control.

BODY :  very custom. done years ago. has a few scratches and marks on it. NO DENTS. its not perfect put its cool ! paint it in real good condition. Very shiny . nbsp;roof was chopped about 4 inches. doors open backwards. (suicide door). they have remote electric openers and power windows. all glass is new and has light bronze tint IN THE GLASS. NOT a stick on tint. Hood is louvered and opens forward. tailgate swings sideways and is louvered with recessed lis. plate area. stereo antenna is "frenched " in. has large fuel cell (tank) under rear of bed with billet aluminum access door in bed floor. Bed floor has paint pealing. we were going to install wood floor but haven't yet. also has 1956 ford grill and headlights. it looks better then the 55. And 1967 mustang tail lights on back.

INTERIOR:  Unfinished. (not detailed) nice Eddy Bower seats. red head liner. xtra gauges. tilt steering columb . nbsp; custom wood and chrome steering wheel. power windows and remote electric door openers. red L. E. D. lights under dash. shines on floor. needs carpet . f you like. and interior door panels. cloth or vinyl available in stores.

SUSPENSION:  4inch dropped front axle with power rack and pinion steering. front disc brakes. rear drums. custom "Wilwood" brake master cylinders and peddle kit. front tires are new Mickey Tompson "skinnies" rear tires are a little wider then stock and about 50% tread. Custom drive shaft.  rear axle is Ford 9" with 2. 75 gears. Yes . hat is plenty of gear. Motor makes tons of torque to spin the tires in any gear and still cruise at 70 mph !

THINGS IT NEEDS:   Engine compartment is not detailed. needs a cleaning. some sanding. a little paint and some more chrome. ! Heater core went bad. started to leak so I pulled the hose off. About $250 for the part and easy to change. / interior door panels. cheap and easy fix. / Front end "king pins" I have the parts. just didn't do it. Because of this. The front end wonders just a tiny bit. but is perfectly drivable. speedometer does not work

The truck is not perfect but it is completely drivable. looks and runs awesome. Really turns heads and gets thumbs up from EVERYONE !
