Pontiac : Le Mans 2 Door Sport for sale
Current customer rating: (518 votes ) based onHere is my 1972 Pontiac Lemans. This car is a show winner and placer as I have just placed 3rd in class at Stan Hywet this summer. This car is as clean underneath as the top as the whole car has gone under a complete restoration 10 years ago. Since the restoration this car has only been driven to shows and kept in a clean. dry. and warm garage.
Discription. /p>
The history of the car is that I bought it from a tech who worked for a Pontiac dealer and everything on the car is done back to stock. The only modifications done to this car are headers and exhaust. Other than that everything is stock.
The body on this car is in great shape as you can see in the pictures. This car has a brand new interior this year and I spent over $5000 with Ames Pontiac just in parts. The paint and chrome show great. All mechanical is right on the money as the carb to pan is new or rebuilt. There is a scratch in the rear quarter glass that you have to look for. that's it. The front bumper was re chromed and the back is original. the rest of the trim is in very nice shape. All the gaps line up perfect and there is no issues with any of the doors. hood or truck closing. Also all the keys are here and working. This car Has the T3 lights and all the lights are in great working order. The tires on the car are new and have 100 miles on them.
This car drives just like it did in 1972 as the suspension has all been removed and replaced with GM parts as the frame and the suspension parts have been reconditioned and painted to the factory colors. I just had the rear end done with 3. 55 gears and a posi unit installed just to wake it up a little.
The 400 Pontiac motor is rebuilt as in the 350 transmission. The cam is a GTO grind and the car is making some nice power. The transmission shifts as it should and will chirp the gears from 1-2 and 2nd- 3rd.
The interior has just been redone with new carpet. seat covers. door panels and it shows. The only thing that is not in working order is the radio.
You can be assured that no matter what cruise in or show you go to it does draw eyes because it is so clean and right.
On Oct-02-14 at 17:14:47 PDT. seller added the following information:For all the die hard Pontiac fans out there. The car has 1971 T37 badges on it because I think they look cool. I also have all the correct emblems and the 72 grills for the lucky high bidder. Please don't waste my time asking what I will sell the car for. the answer to that is as much as I can. I set the reserve at a very reasonable amount that you couldn't even think about building a car half this nice.
