Current customer rating:
This is the run out model TR 3 which was available in the US market only.
Allegedly the Dealer Network in the US was nervous about customer receptivity to the new Michelotti styled TR 4 and so used left over TR 3 bodies to clothe the new TR 4 running gear for a year.
This car is from the second batch of cars with better running gear. gearbox and brakes. I bought the car last year with a view to renovating it for my wife and hadn't thought about the fact that at a statuesque 5 feet tall she would not be able to simultaneously reach the pedals and see out of the windscreen.
So I've decided to put it back on the market as it is after having done the brakes. the fuel lines. the exhaust. the carbs and a bunch of other small things to get it roadworthy again. mostly because I've already got a couple of other restorations on the go.
If I was keeping the car. I would retrim it and repaint it as well as getting the shocks and the tyres changed.
The steering wheel and hood need refurbishing / replacing too.
The original paint color was Powder Blue and the interior was black as it is now and I have the BMI Heritage Certificate somewhere.
l drove the car to work most days in the early summer and it's really a sound little car and great fun to drive as you really feel like you're sitting on the road.
I have not however registered the car here in Georgia so the paperwork is all Massachusetts from the dealer who sold it to me last year.
Please feel free to
