Current customer rating: (529 votes ) based onThe first generation Range Rover was produced between 1970 and
1996. The original car was not designed as a luxury-type 4x4; while
certainly up-market compared to preceding Land Rover models. the
early Range Rovers had fairly basic. utilitarian interiors with
vinyl seats and plastic dashboards designed to be washed down with
a hose. Features such as power assisted steering. carpeted
floors; air conditioning. cloth/leather seats and wooden interior
trim were fitted later. The Range Rover was a body-on-frame design
with a box section ladder type chassis. similar to contemporary
Land Rovers. The Range Rover utilised coil springs as opposed to
leaf springs. permanent four-wheel drive and four-wheel disc brakes
and was originally powered by the Rover V8 engine.
This long wheelbase Classic Vogue was purchased by the vendor in

back to excellent condition. this included replacing the rear
floor. rear wheel arches and rear cross member. The air suspension
was removed and coil springs fitted. a stainless steel exhaust
system replaced the original. In 2003. it was fitted with an LPG
autogas system which is currently disconnected. the vendor informs
us that the item removed from the engine is supplied with the car
and just requires refitting to make the system work. This Classic
Vogue LSE is finished in black with grey leather interior and is
supplied with a V5C registration document. a MoT test certificate
which expires in February 2015. LPG conversion certificates. old
MoT test certificates and invoices. It is offered at no reserve and
could well prove to be a wise investment with the changes in the UK
