The Mini Scamp is a 'kit car' first built in 1969. The first Mk.
I kits. which were styled similarly to the Mini Moke. were produced
by Robert Mandry in Reading. Berkshire using the mechanical parts
of a Mini and a body made from a steel box section frame with
fitted aluminium panels. Options included a van. estate or pick-up
with four or six wheel derivatives. The Mk. II version from 1978
had a squarer body together with a stronger and more robust
chassis.
This Mini Scamp is fitted with a 998 cc engine and has benefitted
from recent investment including an engine rebuild. new shock
absorbers and brakes. Supplied with a V 5 registration document and
a full year's Mo T test certificate. this Scamp Mk. II is a useful
little workhorse that can be used both on private land or public
road use. representing fun and versatility for a modest
investment.
