This lovely Opel Gt has originated from sunny California . As a result the shell and floor pans etc etc are completely rust free. Thr previous owner took the car back to a bare shell and set to a complete rebuild . It has had engine refurb and detailed engine bay . Complete new wiring . ew windscreen . ew light lenses and lights. yes. aint. lutch. exhaust . he list goes on and on . It is detailed underneath and is immaculate . This is all documented with photos in the history file . The car has only done some 100 miles in last 4 years most of which to the mot station and back . It has a brand new mot . hich it flew thru and mot men were amazed at the cars condition . hinking it was new . All the flip over headlight mechanism has been restored and works perfectly . The cars is mechanically A 1 and runs superb with excellent oil pressure etc . There are no leaks . We have some very rare spares with the car which in themself are woth alot of money . This is our 4 th Opel Gt and they are now getting very rare indeed . s a result big money is being asked for good ones . We have priced this one to sell . There is a small job to finish off the interior . e have allowed for this in our price. This car was a real find . The previous owner was totally dedicated to it and was sad to see it go .
Engine & Transmission
The engine is running superb . no trace of any leaks . xcellent oil pressure . The engine doesnt get hot . It is super quiet . This is as a result to it being stripped twice once to rebuild the bottom end and more recently (last 100 miles the top end has been rebuilt. The engine bay is super clean as was all done as part of the resto. It has had new ancillaries . e also have the old ones which were all working fine . ew clutch assembly . ew wirieng . ew hoses. The brakes have all been re newed thru out the car. Alll new shocks and suspension . The list of work is massive and evident to see . You will not find a cleaner Opel Gt underneath in the country.
Wheels. Tyres & Brakes
The original wheels have all been refurbed and new trims have all been added. They sit on almost new full matching quality radials. This is the 1 st one we have had with all the original wheel set up and is rare to see. All the brakes including the discs etc have been replaced for new or refurbed
Exterior
The orange paint is very good indeed . Having had a back to bare shell paint including all glass out . The car was from California and as a result there is no rust anywhere . We have all the photos when stripped no rust anywhere to be found. The underneath of the car is immaculate and detailed. If i were to be super critical the rear quater bumpers have light pitting. Most of the light lenses have been replaced for new and again we have the old ones too . All new weatherstrips. The front windscreen is new.
Interior & Equipment
The inerior is very good . The small job left to do is a headlining . It was attempted by a non expert not successfully . We have all the original rods etc to do it but needs a trimmer to finnish it off. All the gagues are working having been replaced . the originals were retained as are like hens teeth. The flip over headlight mechanism was stripped and is now working perfect. Nightmare job. so good to know its all been done.
