On spider chassis fitted approx 20 years ago and in sound condition. Mick Miller C. V drive shafts fitted approx 7 years ago and have eliminated the drive surge and fragility associated with rotoflex couplings fitted with a very rare wolfrace slot alloys. i believe these wheels specifically fit only lotus elans and europas. the car is used regularly. just completed 300 mile round trip last weekend with ease. electric windscreen washers and electric fan over ride switch fitted as safety precautions for hot summer days in slow moving traffic. stainless steel exhaust. but one of the down pipes has corroded at lower end and will need replacing eventually. i have temporarily repaired with .
body work would benefit from a respray. there is micro blistering and past repair evident from sinkage interior would also benefit from reupholster as would dash. to make perfect. however the car form a distance looks good.
head lights are retracted by vacuum. but after approx 3/4 of an hour will begin to rise after the engine is switched off. so have devised a catch to retain headlamps in down position. this is released via a lever inside the car. (was tired of coming back to the car and finding the headlamps 1/2 way up). road tax exempt. tax and MOT until march 2015. car is lotus elan +2 s 4 speed 1970 J reg.
