For sale is a 1934 Plymouth 5 window coupe. all steel body (no fiberglass anywhere on this baby). This is an original steel  body car that has not been molested. sectioned. chopped. or channeled. It is painted high gloss black on top with Dodge Copperhead Perl on bottom.  Graphics and pin stripping were designed and hand painted by the famous Joey Hutson. The car has a custom box tubular frame. a 400 small block Chevrolet engine. 350 transmission. nbsp;rack and pinion steering.  and a Scotts stainless steel mustang 2 front suspension.

The car was built approximately 10 years ago for the show car circuit. It was shown for about 6 years and then was set up for the next 4 years in a climate controlled building. Within the past year the car was brought out of storage and has been completely gone through: New filters. hoses. belts. battery. fuel lines and all fluids changed in motor. transmission. During the rebuild the Cam and complete fuel system was replaced including new electric fuel pump. Car came with two fours but we found that to be a bit much for the car as a driver so a new 3 duce manifold and 3 new carburetors were installed. New tires were installed all around as well as all new bushings all around for the front end. Once the bushings were completed the front end was aligned. Car has approximately 1200 miles on it since partial rebuild. This little coupe is great to look at and an absolute pleasure to cruise in! This is a very unique vehicle built from the best of parts by a solid professional builder. Car show judges and crowed just love it. It has won Best of Show. Best Interior. and Best Paint. In addition it has placed at every car show it has been entered in and has won too many sponsor awards to even list.

Exterior:

Paint on the car is 10 years old and not as perfect as it once was. It was built to drive and show is not always a trailer queen. therefore it has a few minor road chips. small nicks and scratches but is super nice over all. It is a strong 8. 5 to 9 and wouldn't take much touch up to make it a 10 again. …. As stated before. the body is all steel and is completely rust free and laser straight. it is in wonderful shape for its age. Car is ready to drive or bring to any car show.  As would be expected for a car of this caliber it is always been garaged and covered. Currently there is a set of 4” rocket spoke wheels on the front. However. if the buyer wants. a set of 4” slotted wheels matching the rear wheels can be supplied instead. See photo supplied.

Interior:

Interior is a custom two tone leather that was specifically designed and made for this car. The Interior is in super condition and seats provide a very comfortable ride and feel. For your listening pleasure it has a great sounding audio system featuring Pioneer DEH detachable faceCD/MP3 player with USB input and front and rear mounted speakers. Leather is everywhere on the interior including the seats. doors. kick panels and ceiling and even floor. Trunk is also fully finished to match the interior. Billet Specialties banjo steering wheel with billet horn button. E-z wire wiring harness and fuse panel are under dash. To monitor engine performance a set of classic Dauphin gauges give that nostalgic gold look. Vintage Air and controls add to the creature comforts of this sweet ride.

Fuel tank and battery are well hidden inside the rear trunk area. but are easy to access when needed. The original steel deck lid is lift assisted with a single gas shock. There is a remote security battery cut off switch located in the rear under side of the car.

 Power Train:

The engine is a 400 Small block from a Chevy truck with a 4 bold main and is used as the power source. The engine was completely rebuilt and all freshened up to include a mild cam. new pistons and rings. heads reworked with hardened valve seats. The required 'steam' holes in the 400 block and heads were all machined and cleaned to alleviate any 'hot-spots' in the cooling. Engine runs all day in street traffic at 180 deg. It is cooled by a custom walker radiator and an electric fan. In it's current configuration the engine is putting out approximately 345hp with plenty of torque. The three two set up is just right for this engine. configuration and car weight. The 400 was not originally intended as a high-performance engine but had a reputation for great torque and great reliability. Because of its reliability it has since become popular for many types of racing. both on and off road as well as street rods and is considered by some to be bullet proof.

The engine has plenty of show to go along with the go. It includes chrome water pump and crossover.  Billet oil filter. chrome plug wires looms. chrome starter. and billet clamps. All pulleys. brackets. timing cover. and A/C are either chrome or billet. Alternator is chrome while the three-two intake is aluminum. The three-Two series carbs have braded stainless steel hoses with high pressure connectors feeding from a chrome distribution manifold. The carbs are all connected with progressive linkage. The fule manifold is supplied with fuel at regulated pressure through a quiet electric fuel pump mounted under the car. Polished old style air filters with washable inserts inside sit up top the carbs. To add to the look it has flat finned chrome valve covers that match the air filters. Block was painted Dodge Copperhead to match lower car body and frame. Sanderson ceramic headers with stainless “S” connectors were fabricated to connect the headers to the side exhaust pipes. Mufflers are stainless steel tube type with a cooling screen outer protection. This set up produces a sweet mellow sound that fits the car's style and look.

Power from the engine is passes through a GM 350 transmission to a Ford 9” rear end with a 4 bar link system and a chrome drive shaft. Transmission has a 1800 rpm stall converter and shifts great. With current configuration transmission. rear end gearing and tire size. engine is running about 2100 RPM at 65 mph. Stopping power is provided by four wheel disk breaks. The rear end is equipped with extra large caliper Wilwood disk breaks with braded stainless steel banjo fittings. Rear suspension is stabilized with a four bar link system while air ride shocks provide the owner a choice in both ride height and stiffness. All air ride shocks. both front and rear. are manually filled through Schroeder valves.

This little Plymouth Street rod is a blast to drive and be seen in. If you doNOTlike attention. this car is definitely not for you. People continually stop to take pictures of it or with it and always comment on how beautiful the car is. Be careful …. it is a Chick Magnet.
