Rally Top: Lightweight and easy to remove.   With a “Great Look” it added increased value of this scrambler. nbsp;and gives you a noticeable quieter ride. Your heater is more efficient. You don't have to worry about somebody cutting your soft top to get to your valuables. Highest Quality Textured Exterior Finish painted with a single stage UV resistant paint. The side windows and rear hatch are DOT Approved tempered safety glass. The windows and rear hatch are tinted 31% to the maximum allowable by  law. The inside is finished in a mildew resistant carpet. This not only looks great. but it helps keep the road noise out. It drastically cuts the interior noise level. You can carry on a conversation without raising your voice. Your sound systems will sound better & it also insulates the interior from the outside elements. Your heater is much more efficient. It has dual Locking Keyed Rear Hatch & Opens with Dual Gas Struts. 4. 2 cylinder engine with just completed head job & all valves replaced . 4. 0 Fuel injection. There were only 27. 92 produced from 1981 to 1986.
AMC built the CJ-8. a 103-inch-wheelbase pickup with lots of rear overhang as an upgrade to the CJ-6.
The CJ-8 came in hard- or soft-top models. The Scrambler was a very modest seller. but an upswing in popularity in the 1990's has turned the old CJ-8 into a very hot item with lots of room for trick modifications. From the windshield forward. the Scrambler is all Jeep in appearance. In soft top form it is America's only roadster pickup. In most of its essential mechanical components. the Scrambler is a twin to both the CJ-5 and CJ-7. The standard engine was the Pontiac-built 82 horsepower 4 cylinder 151 cubic inch engine. optional engine was the 110 horsepower in-line 6 cylinder 258 engine. The AMC 304 and 360 were not given as a factory option. The CJ-8 had a $7288 price tag in 1981. $7922 with HT and options. In 1983 it went up to $7563/$8392.
The last 2 years of production saw price drops as each successive year. fewer Scramblers were produced.

This was my jeep. I was the one who did all the retro mods. The add is old. The guy that bought my jeep lived in Florida and sold it a year after he bought it from me. This add is from 2014. I have been looking for it too. Sorry mat.
