The Alpine was introduced in 1953 and its arrival was historic. as the first vehicle to bear the Sunbeam name since the 1920 merger of Sunbeam. Talbot. and Darracq. In 1963. the Alpine became available in both open and removable hardtop versions. with the final Series V produced from 1965 through 1968.

As the ideal entry into classic car ownership. popularized by the likes of James Bond and Maxwell Smart. The Sunbeam Alpine possess beautiful sports car styling. while benefiting from easy to maintain mechanicals. at a third of cost of its brother the Tiger. Acquired from long-term ownership. the previous caretaker having enjoyed this particular Alpine for over 25 years as a weekend runabout. commissioned a full driver's restoration to recreate the Sunbeam just as it was when he first purchased it. This 1966 1750 equipped Roadster now displays vibrant red paint with tasteful white horizontal body stripes. correct black upholstery. color matched wheels and fresh running gear. The cabin's upholstery remains period correct with the addition of modern audio. while the trunk is very nicely trimmed with matching spare wheel. Both paint and brightwork show very well.
