Ford Transit Mk1 swb van/race barge/weekend camper, LHD, for sale
Current customer rating: (556 votes ) based onHere we have for sale is our stunning 1972 swb transit 100 petrol van which we recently imported from the sunny Algarve. /p>
The van as you can see is lhd and has only 65000 KM on the clock which im told is genuine + going by the condition of the van i believe it to be correct. /p>
The van is virtually rust free apart from a bit on both rear arches (pictured) + the odd very minor blister. /p>
The chassis is mint + never welded infact theres very little welding been done + the whole van is mainly original.
Paintwork is very good still + i have just give it a polish + its come up lovely. JPS theme with removable logos. /p>
Gold wheels with very good 185/60/14 tyres allround which gives it a better stance + look. /p>
The original V4 petrol engine was recently fully rebuilt prior to our purchase using all genuine Ford parts. /p>
Starts on the button + runs + drives but may need the carb setting up or servicing as its sat around for a while now. /p>
Many other new parts inc servo. radiator. battery. starter motor. brake hoses etc etc all works by previous owner ( retired Ford main dealer). /p>
The interior has been trimmed out in the back quite well + is still in really good condition. the drivers seat needs the base recovering. /p>
Fold down rear seats ( pictured folded). /p>
Very cool looking van with excellent panel gaps + it is so solid its untrue + its not full of filler like most available. /p>
It will make a perfect race barge to tow your classic Ford to shows or track days or just as a weekend camper. /p>
Still needs a few tiny jobs doing ready for its MOT like a washer bottle + exhaust tail pipe + basicly a once over. /p>
Its still on its Portugal plates + will need to be MOTd before a UK reg is applied for. /p>
I have done the Nova with HMRC when we imported it + i have confirmation that there is no duty payable. /p>
You cannot obtain a UK reg on a vehicle now if a Nova has not been submitted + confirmed with HMRC so there will be no issues here. /p>
The van being a 1972 will be Tax exempt too which is a bonus. /p>
I have all the original Portuguese documents inc V5. /p>
You will be hard pushed to find another in this condition at this price. /p>
We are only selling as we need the space but would love to keep it to be honest. /p>
Viewing welcome at my home address in SS7 Essex. just call or message me to arrange. /p>
Please no timewasters or stupid questions from anoraks. /p>
we are not looking for any offers or any p/x either. /p>
Cash on collection only please. /p>
Any questions please call 07876215453 Kev.
