WW 2 JEEP FOR RESTORATION
I have owned this Jeep for the past 3 years. I imported it myself from the USA with the intention of doing a full restoration.
It is mostly complete and is a 1942 GPW with its original data tags. the quy in the States I bought it from said that it was purchased from a government surplus sale in the early 1960's and was already converted into a van.
I have not had the Jeep running the engine turns over on the starter but has valves stuck open so does not run.
It has correct T 84 transmission. nice original speedo. and 3 combat rims.
It only has a drivers seat and that is F marked.
The body tub has some rot. but in my opinion is really not that bad and could be converted back to a standard Jeep if that is what you prefer.
The Jeep is registered as a 1945 Willys but is in fact a Ford. the original Ford vin on the chassis is hard to read so the DMV in the USA restamped the chassis and the dash with a new number.
To be clear I have the V 5 and it says the Jeep is a 1945 Willys. This is a great project and certainly something different to all the other WW 2 Jeeps out there.
Please phone me for any more information. ask for Stuart during office hours on 01268 710 357 I am always happy to talk Jeeps.
