Current customer rating: current rating for this car(4.3) based on 561 votes
1933 Ford all steel full-fendered Roadster. Built nostalgic hot rod style with flathead engine. folding top. and rumble seat.

New frame rails with original 1933 Ford crossmembers. Front crossmember is NOS. Rear crossmember is modified: flattened for lowered stance. Super Bell I Beam dropped front axle with '39 spindles. tube shocks. juice brakes. reversed eyes spring. Original 1933-34 steering box with column drop and key.

1940 Ford 3. 78 ratio rear axle with professionally shortened torque tube and driveshaft. Tube shocks and juice brakes. dual master brake cylinder. fully functional parking brake. original 1933-34 clutch/brake pedals. 6. 00-16 used front tires and 7. 50-16 new rear tires on 1935 Ford wire spoke wheels.

1950's 8 BA Ford rebuilt engine with Offenhauser 2 X 2 intake. with (2) Stromberg 97 carbs (Only 1 hooked up presently). with 59 AB cam. distributor. water pumps. Rebuilt 1933 Ford radiator and 12 V generator. New battery and original style wiring harnesses.

New 'Tanks' galvanized fuel tank.

New clutch and 1939 Ford transmission. Original 1933 Ford single exhaust and 59 AB manifolds.

New steel body constructed with original 1934 Ford firewall and original style front 1/2 floor: steel with wooden floorboards. Rear 1/2 of floor is replacement style: follows frame contour. Louvered trunk lid constructed with heavy plastic sheet inside to shed rain water down.

Doors hung on original steel hinges. body is steel re-enforced: cowl. trunk. door. windshield. latch. Bear claw latches located lower and operated as original from 1933 Foard roadster stainless outside and chrome inside door handles. Countless hours fabbing contoured door jams and inner panels. hinge plates. and modified original 1933 Ford Coupe steel dash to produce a solid and authentic body.

Hand fabbed Engine-turned dash panel with new gauges and tach. Nostalgic blinkers. 1935 Ford banjo steering wheel and working horn button blows small horn under hood.

Original 1933 or '34 Ford: dash. firewall. hood. Grille. inner fenders. front fenders and braces. headlites and stands. cowl lites. tail lites and stands. bumpers and brackets. rear fenders. New repop correct covered running boards with original 1933 Ford braces underneath.

Original style 1933 Ford coupe seat with fresh cushions and firmly anchored seat belts. 3-bow folding top with front header attached to Duval style windshield with thumbscrews. top folds fully behind seat and below rear deck but is probably a 2-person operation.

Vehicle passed recent NSRA sanctioned safety visual inspection but the car is home built and has many running gear components over 80 years old. Frequent inspection and possible safety upgrades such as new front tires. disc brakes. Vega cross steering. electronic ignition. Red's headers and dual exhaust. etc. are recommended for today's traffic and family safety.

Please don't bid if you don't intend or can't afford to pay. Clear title transferred after payment in full. Non-refundable deposit of $500 due within 24 hours of successful bid. Inspection in person highly recommended before bidding. I plan on attending the Good Guys show in Loveland Colorado the weekend of June 6-8 and will have this vehicle on display for inspection.

Body all steel from new panels assembled by me. using an authentic roadster for daily measurement verification. NOT show car metal finished using the typical slice. ice. and re-weld to correct stamping imperfections. NOT skim coated and primered to cover up any distortion. Simply scuffed and light semigloss clearkote allowing the new owner to take body finesse to next level or leave as is. LR fender is repaired original Coupe. RR fender is modified (widened) Sedan original. RF and LF fenders are patina originals. if they could talk they would attest to repairs during the great depression and again during WWII. They could be smoothed out with about 3 hours shop time each with a good hammer and dolly guy or If you don't like them i have a pair of new repops i can sell you.

Inner fenders i think one is '33 and one is '34. Grille is original scuffed and clearkote. Hood original lite clearkote nice shape except right top need a little TLC has little 1/4" notch rear next to hood hinge and outer hinge tubes some need attention. Door latches (small bear claw) not original but they close like a new car and won't open on the road like originals do. I have repop original type if you want them. Dash steel original Coupe hated to do it but cut top off it to form into Roadster dash. Have nice woodgrained original '34 Roadster dash but didn't use it. didn't want to cut opening for gauges (all gauges work).
Steering OK on road but typical 'old pickup' when parking. Brakes adequate until you get in heavy traffic and realize why everyone else converts to disc brakes. Engine fresh starts first crack. runs cool. 40-50 oil pressure. out on road it wants to fly! Tranny shifts fine but of course it ain't no 6-speed. is it? Rear gears and big tires fine for highway. You decide: Radial (whitewalls or blackwalls?) needed in front because many roads are grooved nowadays.

I have lowered the reserve only a small amount but the real difference is now i have decided to include the following parts to be sent to the successful bidder. ordered and shipped f rom Speedway motors: (4) new 12" Bendix brake drums. (4) new 12" Bendix backing plates. (4) new 1940 design Hubs. (4) new hub bearing kits. (1) Speedway all new Vega steering box combo Kit. It will be this vehicle purchaser's responsibility to get these parts installed professionally by a certified mechanic so as to correct the (1934 and 1940 Ford-era original and marginal) brakes and steering which are presently installed on this vehicle. No labor allowance is included but certainly the original 1940 Ford era brakes and 1934 Ford era steering parts can be sold by the winning bidder to offset some of the labor costs. AGAIN. let me state this: It will be the buyers responsibility to get the steering and brake parts installed correctly to insure the steering and braking are safe! Likewise let me re-state: it is the purchaser's responsibility to inspect and maintain every part of this vehicle so as to ensure a safe and secure and street-legal vehicle. The vehicle has MANY used parts and most are over 50 years old.
