1966 Morgan +4 2+2 Sports Roadster
Introduced in 1960 as the overachieving younger brother to the 4/4. the Morgan +4 brought a new standard of performance to an otherwise aging sports car lineup.
The +4 came standard with the Triumph TR 3 motor and a host of improvements to the chassis. all while offering 4-seat capacity.
The car appealed to a more performance-oriented crowd and eventually went on to race competitively in track trim.
We are very excited to offer this 1966 Morgan +4 2+2! Finished in a beautiful shade of British racing Green with Black vinyl interior and Green piping. this Morgan has a timelessly British look that remains as classy today as it was when new! This car comes equipped with its correct Triumph TR 3 motor with a 302137 casting number.
This car came standard with twin Stromberg 175 CD carburetors and in true Morgan fashion. there was not enough room to put on air filters.
In addition to a four-speed manual transmission. the car also comes fitted with a Moto-lita polished 4-spoke steering wheel. dash-mount rear-view mirror. twin hood props. leather hood strap. driver fender-mount side-view mirror. Lucas tripod headlights & driving lamp. Lucas distributor/coil/starter/battery. wood dash. luggage rack. chrome valve cover. heater. rubber door entry strip and 60-spoke black wire wheels with Michelin 165 HR 15 XAS tires and chrome knock offs.
The car also has a badge bar with four Morgan related items.
According to records. the car has lived in several loving homes in the New York area since new. the most recent having owned the car for nearly 30 years! In fact. the car wears evidence that says “Sold & serviced by Fergus Imported Cars. New York. New York. ” In addition to all the options. the car has Morgan towels. tool kit. wallet and jack. rubber and carpet floor mats. tonneau cover and boot cover.
The odometer shows zero miles we believe the car has seen very little use since being restored in 2002 but have made an effort to get the odometer functioning properly.
