This is a very tidy 1979 classic MGB Roadster
It is the LE (limited edition) model which was one of the last to come out of the factory before it closed for the last time
The car spent the first twenty years or so of its life in California. hence the bodywork is in such good condition. before being brought back to the UK and re-registered here.
It still has the original 'three wiper blades' which was a US requirement. however the car has had new chrome bumpers fitted. instead of the original rubber ones and has had the rather ugly side-repeaters taken off.
It is a right-hand drive model.
This MGB was completely restored in the last few years. including:
Bodywork stripped down to chassis. chassis checked
Body rebuilt replacing one repair panel at rear quarter only
All US spec items removed including side repeaters. exhaust emission control system etc.
New fuel tank fitted
Body complete respray
Ride height maintained at US standard for comfort. three windscreen wipers retained
New chrome bumpers fitted
New boot lid fitted
New windscreen pillars fitted
New quarter lights
New dashboard
New front chrome grill
New stainless steel exhaust system
Engine out & stripped. checked. replaced all gaskets
New carburettors & filters fitted
New rocker cover
Engine tuned & set up
Rebuilt complete front suspension. new king pins. coil springs. V8 suspension rubbers fitted. steering rack boots replaced
New fuel pump
Replaced front calipers and rear brake shoes
New tonneau cover
All underside resprayed with bodyschultz Paintwork cut & polished
LE decals fitted
The leather & upholstery is very tidy with no rips or tears

*   New Sony CD/radio fitted in 2010
*   Very good tyres (two replaced last year)
Overdrive is fitted and the car runs very smoothly with good pickup and is mechanically very sound
It is great fun to drive
There are one or two small marks on the paintwork. but generally this is a very tidy car
