A very rare car. A Sabre 6. chassis no 41 of 77. This car has been professionally converted from GT to convertible spec. . using a genuine Reliant body. making it one of only three convertible Sabre 6 s in existence.
The first pictures show the car virtually finished. but unfortunately the paint was micro blistered in storage and needs to be redone. The lights etc have been removed and sanding back started in readiness for repaint. Please note: the car will need repainting.
The car is complete. and has been restored. Restored interior. new shocks. new stainless tank. new exhaust system. Body has new floors fitted. etc etc. Many thousands of pounds and hours spent!
There is work to do - interior needs fitting. Engine recommissioning and carb arrangement to be done - has standard manifold to accept Weber. New wiring loom finishing fitting. lights refitting after paint etc. Probably a weeks work after paint at most.
Engine is a known good spec. . with Blydenstein cam. Gearbox rebuilt. uprated 2 nd gear. J type overdrive. Rear axle has had new bearings. seals. Car has a good set 5. 5 x 15 wires with NEW tyres.
The desirable rear suspension mods have been done. Recon radiator. silicon hoses. suspension all rebuilt. rebushed. New brake masters. calipers rebuilt (3 pots) rear brakes all new. A fortune spent.
It has taken me years since buying this car in 1977. as an incomplete basket case. to collect the parts to restore and reconstruct this car.

Why for sale? My health and full time job means this stalled some years ago. The RSSOC club registrar knows this car. and having been off road since the 70 s it has no V 5. but I have confirmed with the Reg that he can supply the necessary letter for DVLA. Original number plate with the car - BNP 567 B.
